The 2017 anime series Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni... (On the Night of Lustful Passion Mingled with a Priest...) became a landmark title in the niche world of adult-oriented romance animation. Adapted from Reon Maomi’s popular josei manga, the series gained notoriety not just for its provocative content, but for its unique broadcasting format. It was the first title to spearhead the "ComicFesta Anime" wave, often referred to by fans as "AnimeFesta" or "僧侶枠" (Soryo-waku), which translates to "the priest's slot." which translates to "the priest's slot."
